It is important for teachers to have cleared what are their roles as teachers and also to try to create a good environment in and outside the class with students. This is why according to (Maria Orlando, 2013) exceptional teachers have nine great characteristics and never stay quiet to give significant learning. On the other hand, (Maryellen Weimer, 2009) concludes that to get effectiveness in teaching; teachers need to accomplish six principles that include essential knowledge. Teachers have to set clear objectives and provide explicit explanations to the students to let them know what they will learn and do. , (Maryellen Weimer, 2009) It also meant, to provide them with appropriate assessment and feedback. Similarly, cooperation in classroom for example motivating students to develop projects in groups give them the opportunity to show what they are able to do. Projects are always a good way to engage the all class. In contrast, good teaching implies learning from students, too. And at the same time, emphasize a positive aspect from the teacher that motivates learners to participate. The role of a teacher is a hard work that implicates enrichment every day. Nowadays, education has evolved significantly thus; excellence means great strategies and appropriate methods so that is why the main focus of this document is to contrast  (Maryellen Weimer, 2009) in which she explains   that teachers’ job implicate some principles such as interest, respect and feedback to get effectiveness in the classroom. However, having great characteristics as teachers is other significant aspect that (Maria Orlando, 2013) highlight in the nine characteristics that excellent teachers must have to create a pleasant environment.

On the other hand, education should include mutual affection and respect between teachers and students. Students and teachers must have this aspect clear and well defined. Teachers always have to listen student’s curiosities and opinions as students should try to do their best in all the assignments. There should be a set curriculum however, teachers need to use their imagination at any moment, because is mandatory to create a pleasant environment. (Maryellen Weimer, 2009) It is set that the most important characteristic of a great teacher is to be kind and friendly with the students. The success in teaching is not just to teach well but, to gain students admiration. (Maria Orlando, 2013)

To reach the objectives teachers set explicit explanations giving the chance to students to know what they will learn and do. Both authors Orlando and Weimer conclude that high-quality teaching implies flexibility. Orlando states that a great teacher has to be flexible when a lesson isn’t working. At the same time, Weimer expose that good teaching is open to change.  Nevertheless, the two authors present different perspectives in teaching. While Orlando is center on the teacher as a main aspect, Weimer, is focus on the students as a main factor in teaching. The latter may depend on classroom target, as the first author focuses the attention on kids and general education while the second author bases her observations on college students.

To create a supportive and collaborative learning teachers use lots of strategies to get their students attention.  Maryellen Weimer, (2009) emphasis that to catch student’s attention we need to develop different activities such as games, projects but make them to produce and always be creative. Not to treat everybody in the same way because of the different ways to learn each individual has .On the other hand, students should develop projects to show what they are able to do and to learn how to present to others and at the same time giving feedback to their classmates. That is a good way to create collaborative learning in classroom.

As a result, accordingly to the two points of view;   the characteristics of a great teacher and the good strategies to reach effectiveness inside the classroom they both, always have to go hand in hand with the other one, to reach the goal that is success in the classroom. By giving the students the chance to show what they can achieve and let them the opportunity to cooperate with their peers in classroom it will increase their attention and we as teacher will experience a nice feeling and environment at the moment the class finish.
